一般猜測，費許朋之所以沒有回歸系列第4集的主因，很有可能是這部最新續作將會回到莫斐斯年輕時期；而目前尚未宣布演出角色的另一位非裔男星葉海亞阿巴杜馬汀二世，極有可能就是會在片中飾演年輕版的莫斐斯。

至於之前已經開拍卻因疫情攪局而被迫停工好幾個月的【駭客任務4】，日前也傳出最新拍攝進度。系列男主角基努李維在接受視訊訪問時，向系列粉絲透露全劇組目前已在德國柏林正式復工的好消息。
